Member Awards Scheme

Candidates and members who go above and beyond the requirements for membership are eligible to be recognised at the end of the year as Distinguished or Superior members. The following table outlines these requirements:

* Additional hours may be earned through Community Service, Professional or Essential Skills workshops.

Recognition of non-BAP hours

For every 1-hour of community service outside of Beta Alpha Psi that a candidate or member participates in, this 1 hour counts toward meeting Beta Alpha Psi requirements for special distinction, up to a maximum of 250 minutes per year.

For every 1-hour of professional events and activities a candidate or member participates in 1 hour counts towards meeting Beta Alpha Psi requirements for special distinction, up to a maximum of 250 minutes per year.

Members must submit a signed activity verification form to the executive.

Outstanding Candidate or Member

The Candidate or Member who achieves the most total hours at the end of the year will be awarded the Outstanding Candidate/Member Award.

This member will be invited to attend the annual Executive Breakfast and will be awarded a trophy recognising their outstanding achievement.

NB: to be considered for the award the candidate or member must also meet the requirements for Superior Distinction.
